POSSIBLE CAUSES OF FAULTY OPERATION AND TROUBLESHOOTING

CONCEALED CISTERNS

1. Outlet valve leaks

  POSSIBLE CAUSES TROUBLESHOOTING
OUTLET VALVE
LEAKS
Foreign particles in the outlet valve Dismantling of the outlet valve
Disassembling and cleaning the outlet valve
Reassembly of the outlet valve
The outlet valve is not in the correct position Dismantling and correct reassembly of the outlet valve
Accumulated limescale on the outlet valve Recommended cleaning of the outlet valve washer or its replacement with a new one
Accumulated limescale on the outlet valve Replacement of the outlet valve with a new one

2. Water leaks into the toilet (even when the outflow is closed)

(NON-)FUNCTIONING POSSIBLE CAUSES TROUBLESHOOTING
WATER LEAKS INTO THE TOILET
(EVEN WHEN THE OUTFLOW IS CLOSED)
Fill valve - incorrect adjustment of the water level in the toilet cistern Adjust the water level on the proper level
See the labels on the styrofoam cartridge and on the outlet valve rod
Fill valve - foreign particles in the valve prevents the valve from functioning Dismantling and cleaning the fill valve
Incorrect assembly of the outlet valve with a holder Assembly the outlet valve and the holder in accordance with the instruction manual
The trigger rods of the flushing plate are not assembled precisely enough Readjustment of the trigger rods of the flushing plate in accordance with the instruction manual

3. Water leaks only while the plate is pushed

(NON-)FUNCTIONING POSSIBLE CAUSES TROUBLESHOOTING
WATER LEAKS ONLY WHILE THE PLATE IS PUSHED Inadequate water level in the toilet cistern Check the water level setting on the fill valve
Foreign particles in the fill valve - dismantling and cleaning of the valve
Trigger rod is too long Shorten the trigger rods to the proper length according to the instruction manual

4. Flushing plate is not functioning properly

(NON-)FUNCTIONING POSSIBLE CAUSES TROUBLESHOOTING
FLUSHING PLATE IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY Incorrectly mounted flushing plate holder Check the accuracy of the assembly and eliminate disparities
Disregarding of the installation dimension Check the dimensions and eliminate disparities
The flushing plate holder is not mounted parallel to the toilet cistern Check for parallelism and eliminate irregularities

5. Water leaks into the living area

(NON-)FUNCTIONING POSSIBLE CAUSES TROUBLESHOOTING
WATER LEAKS INTO THE LIVING AREA The connection between toilet cistern and the toilet or the connection between the toilet and the drainage system Check the toilet installation:
  • The length of the extension
  • Proper washer alignment
  • Correct assembly of the extension along with the toilet and outlet elbow pipe
